How to Maintain Health with Breathing Techniques

Breathing Consciously

The purpose of this breathing technique is to breathe at a regular rhythm, and don't gasp for air. Take a deep breath and feel the air flowing through your nose, then also feel your diaphragm contracting as you breathe in.

By feeling your breath, you will focus on your breathing pattern and pay more attention to whatever is happening when you breathe. You can help calm a stiff or tense nervous system with this light breathing exercise. Mindful breathing can be done anywhere.

Lion Breath Technique

This one technique is a breathing technique that is in yoga and is the most powerful. The way to do this is to close your eyes first, then take a deep breath through your nose. Then, open your mouth and stick out your tongue as you exhale and make a 'ha' sound.

For more effectiveness, repeat several times. This breathing technique makes the muscles relax. These muscles are like in the face, and jaw.  You can also create a relaxed and calm feeling.

Breath Extension Technique

Another way to maintain health with breathing techniques is by breathing extension or moving stagnant energy in the body. This method can be done when you feel anxious. At first, inhale for a count of 4-5, then exhale slowly through your mouth with a hissing sound.

Do it regularly, especially if you have a panic attack or anxiety. No matter how strange you sound, let it go because it is a healthy vibration and can certainly make you calmer and avoid stress.

Candle Blowing Breath Technique

This technique is a short breath that can make the stomach move from normal to sunken. This breathing exercise can train the core muscles of breathing and make your breath more effective.

This exercise can be done with 20 to 30 breaths. If successful, add another 2 times the next day.  No need to do it every day, just about 5 days a week is enough. The more resistant to doing this breathing model, your lungs will also be healthier.

Breath of Fire Technique

This technique is the basic breathing technique in yoga. Its function is to provide great energy to your body.  The first thing to do is sit cross-legged, then inhale and exhale forcefully through your nose.  Do it with a regular rhythm.

In one technique, you can do with a period of 1-3 minutes. Do not be too fast or too slow, must be regular and constant. If you still feel fast or feel dizzy, slow down your breathing rhythm.

Pranayama Lung Strength Exercise

This technique can be done in a sitting position. Then, in exhalation, you should use the right and left nostrils alternately. First, after sitting cross-legged, close the left nostril with your fingers, then inhale deeply using the right nostril.

Then, close the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril.  After that, do the same technique but with the nostrils inverted. In 1 day you should repeat this exercise 10 times.

Those are some ways to maintain health with breathing techniques that you can do at home. Maintaining lung health is very important. With some of these techniques, it is guaranteed that your lungs will be more relieved and healthy.
